Claim Report on Arthur Volupides’s Death (By: Vania, Atta, Debora, Joanne)

With this report, we claim that Queenie Volupidez is lying about the death of his husband, Arthur Volupidez on the 21st of November 1971. Arthur’s body was found in his house at 02:00 AM in the morning by our crime scene investigator team.

That day, we arrived at Queenie’s house at 2.00 AM in the morning. There was no paramedics or any ambulance.  We found Queenie  with her friends inside that house and Arthur’s dead body on the stairs. His position was lying on his back, face up.

Queenie said that she had a tiff with his husband Arthur. Because she was sick of it, she went to the Country club using a dress. Then she went home from the club around 12.50 am, she arrived at home around 5 minutes later. When Queenie arrived home,  she saw her husband Arthur is lying on the bottom of the stairs, dead. She was shocked. 10 minutes later, her friends came. Queenie said that Arthur slipped when he wanted to take another glass of alcohol.

The autopsy found that Arthur have a wound on his head. He must have fell hard from the stairs. It’s a little weird that there is no bleeding in his head. And he was fell downstairs, usually people fell down the stairs they only got bruised. The autopsy also found that he’d been drunk. This supports the fact that he is holding a glass on his left hand.

In the crime scene we found some evidences that points towards the other way. We are pretty convinced that Queenie is lying. Why? Because we found that Arthur’s clothes are not disheveled. Usually, when people fall downstairs, their clothes become disheveled. There’s nothing on the stairs. When someone slips on something, usually there is something to slip on. And the glass in Arthur’s left hand is not broken. As a rule, when people fall downstairs they drop what they are holding.

The evidences clearly does not support what Queenie said happened. In the crime scene, as what we’ve stated before. Because when someone slips, usually there is something to slip on. Meanwhile there is nothing on the stairs. Nothing wet or slimy that Arthur might have slipped on. Second, the fact that the glass on Arthur’s hand in still whole and not broken is weird. As a rule, when people fall downstairs they drop what they are holding in order to grasp something still that can stop them from falling. It is a human reflex. Another thing is that there was no paramedics on the spot. Normally if somebody found a dead body or someone injured in their house, people will immediately contact the paramedics. And the last, but the biggest question just yet. According to Queenie, Arthur is falling down the stairs, But if thats the case Arthur should have fallen leg first instead of head first like what we find at the crime scene.

The conclusion is that Arthur was tripped by Queenie. Queenie and Arthur had a tiff. They must have hate each other in that time. Queen was tired being Arthur’s wife. Her motive is that Queenie is so angry to Arthur until She really wanted to hurt Arthur. But Queenie has gone too far. From wanting to hurt Arthur so bad, she killed him. Queenie did not call any Ambulance or police. It only took like 3 minutes to dial 911 and ask for help. But Queenie waited for 10 minutes. She waited for her friends. What did she do in that 10 minutes? We think that in that 10 minutes she cleaned the crime scene and moved any evidence that she can found such as fingerprints, and also blood.

What I Have Learned About Blogging (-^〇^-)

To answer the unit question which is, “How can we use blogs to explore new ideas, opinions and interact with the world around us? “ I will write a post explaining my answer for that question.

Blogging is our second unit. In this unit we have learned many things. Starting from blogging guidelines, commenting and how to make a good blog. I enjoy this unit very much. Why? Because blogging teaches me much more behind the main things we are supposed to learn. It teaches me to be more open-minded and understand my friends a little bit more.

Blogging is a way for us to communicate with our friends and our blog visitors. In blogs we communicate with out visitors by interacting with then through our posts and comments. But remember, blog is accessible for everyone who has access to the World Wide Web. That I why we should be cautious and stay on the safe side to prevent unwanted things to happen. For example identity thefts, cyber bullying and many more.

How? By keeping our private information private. Do not share your address, phone number, home number or your last name. Just by doing this simple things you can be safe from bad things that people do through the internet.

I made sure that my private information was kept private. How about you? After making sure that you’ve done it, we can move on to the next thing. Let me explain about the templates of your blog. A blog is like a piece of artwork, full of pictures, writings and your feelings. Therefore you should make sure that it is a beautiful one.

We can do that by changing the templates into the ones that are more fancy and fun. As well as adding widgets and maybe a music bar on top or at the bottom of your blog. Besides of the template, the beauty of your blog is also expressed through your writings. That is why we write something that we are interested in. Why? Because usually if we write something that we like, we can actually wrote it full heartedly making the result much better. For example writing about you hobbies, likes or dislikes and maybe your positive experience. But remember to tell it using appropriate vocabulary because it is a school blog that can be read by the teachers and friends. Do not use profanities or offensive posts that can harass or bully others.

In order to make the post more alive as well as helping the readers understand more about the post I usually attach a media on my post. It can either be a picture or a video that is related with the post. And remember to keep your posts up to date with the most recent news or piece of information. Maybe you can share some knowledge like I did on my blog. I shared my knowledge on blogging templates.

Another thing, make sure you write something that everyone can understand and relate to. Therefore they can interact with you by relating to their own interest and experience. And they even might give you some additional information that you don’t know!

So overall, I enjoy blogging a lot. It is a lot of fun. I can express myself through my blog. As long as you stay on the safe side, there is no negative impact to express yourself and share your feelings or experience through your personal or school blog. Oh! And don't forget to give and accept feedbacks! :)

Trust

Trust is like a glass of white milk. Once you add a pinch of salt, it's not going to be as pure as it was before. It's up to you to give your glass of white milk to your friend. It's up to you as well to receive the glass of white milk from your friend. However, all it needs is a single drop of black. One lie, one disappointment. And that trust would break.

Trust is like a glass. Once it breaks it shatters on the floor, unable to be fixed. Even when you glue it to try to put the pieces back together, you can still see the cracks. It's up to you to give your rigid piece of glass to your friend and to receive one as well. But remember, don't let it fall.

Trust is like a piece of wood. Once you hammer a nail into it, it will stay there. Even though the nail comes out once you pull on it, it will leave a hole behind. It's up to you to give your piece of wood to your friend and receive one in return. But remember, keep your hammers and nails safely tucked away.

Trust is like silk. Beautiful and precious but soft and rigid at the same time. Trust is like gold, expensive but rare. It's like a knife. The one that you give to your friend and the one you get in return. It's our choice to either keep it or use it.

Once the glass of milk turns black, your piece of glass shatters and you have holes on your wood, just try to stay strong. Don't give your glass of black milk to anyone just yet, try to keep the pieces of your shattered glass so it doesn't hurt anyone around you and cover the holes on your wood with a smile plastered on your face.

Now you wait. Wait for someone that makes you a new glass of milk. Sweep away your shattered glass and give you a new one. And someone who can fill in the holes of your heart with happiness, joy, and love. Someone that deserves your trust. Be careful this time, some people will pretend when all they want is a VIP seat to watch you suffer.

Blog Audiences :)

A few minutes ago, I was exploring my blog when I found out that we can see where in the world our blog visitors are, what laptop they used and also what browser they used to visit our blog! :O

How?

1.  Go to www.blogger.com/home
2. Then press on your blog's name.
3. After that we can see the icons on the left side of the page. Click on the "Stats" icon right under the "Google++" icon. The one that has a picture of a pie chart on it.
4. When you're done, click on the "Audiences" option that pops out after you click the "Stats" icon.
5. Done!

Right on that page, you can see the statistics about the audience of your blog. On that page as well, there's a world map. If a country is colored green, that means one of your visitors came from that country. So far I have visitors from Indonesia (obviously), United States of America, Malaysia, Poland, Canada and South Korea.

How about you? ~_~
Tell me about your visitors in the comment below! :)
See you.

Jakarta Cultural Parade ~(O.O)~

Hello readers! :) If you guys read my first post on 10 random facts about me, you guys will know that one of my hobby is dancing traditional dances. I know it might sound strange for a teenager to choose traditional dancing rather than modern hip-hop, but I have a reason behind all this.

My first point is that Indonesia is a very rich country with various traditional cultures. It is our job as Indonesia's next generation to keep this culture alive. Indonesia has a wide range of culture starting from cuisines, martial arts, paintings, puppet art, dancing, music and many more. As an individual, I chose to do my job as Indonesia's next generation to keep Indonesia's traditional dances alive.

Deep inside, I feel proud when dancing in front of my friends and families. Performing in big and small events to show everyone how rich Indonesia actually is. Helping them realize that Indonesia actually has what it takes to be known and heard by the world.

Enough on the introduction, my latest performance was during the Jakarta Cultural Parade. Basically this event was held last August with participants from 30 or more provinces in Indonesia as well as attendance from a couple of governmental businesses like Garuda Indonesia and PLN.

In this event, each province from Indonesia presented their own unique dance, clothes, and music. Jambi, one of Indonesia's province, recruited 100 dancers from Jakarta and 25 musicians from their own province.

I felt very lucky to be recruited as one of the dancers. The committee gave us 3 weeks to practice a dance routine involving 100 dancers dancing 6 different dance. The dance included an umbrella dance, a kentongan dance (a type of indonesian traditional bamboo musical instrument), an ambungan (weaved baskets) dance, a caping (weaved cap) dance, a rebana (a type of traditional indonesian percussion) dance and last but not least, the umbul-umbul (flag) dance. I was chosen as one of the ambungan dancers and was very proud of my part.

The music was played live which in return resulted the drainage of energy from the 6 meetings we attended. Why? Because as dancers, we have to be in sync with the music. The length of the dance,  including the entrance and exit, wasn't more than 2 minutes.

All of a sudden, it was the big day. On the 18th of August, we gathered at TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah) to put on our make up and costume. By 9AM we arrived at Monas where all the groups from 30 provinces gather and compete against each other.

The route of our parade was to circle Monas. We walked in groups of the province. Each province would dance on 4 different spots including inside the president's house (Scream!), the city hall, and two spots in the middle of the parade.

Monas (National Monument)

The parade started at 10 in the morning but the province that I represented was number 28 on the list, making us wait another couple of hours to shine. By the time we performed and began our journey to circle the Monas area, it was already 2 PM.

The weather was not supportive at all. Right before the parade started it rained cats and dogs. But then as the parade started, the sun shone like there was no tomorrow! I felt like I was boiled that day, especially in my traditional Jambi clothing. Long sleeved blouse, long pants, long skirt and a meter long weaved basket on my head!

But everything payed off. People enjoyed our performance and lots of foreigners asked for a picture or two. When my group was going through the street route, an American was dancing right beside us! Clapping and following anywhere we went for half an hour, dancing and enjoying the music.

We performed our routine in front of the president and his wife. I think he enjoyed it as much as we did, because we won fourth place! Isn't it awesome? I was very happy and my group was beyond happy. We danced our way through the end of the parade.

After the parade ended, we said our goodbyes, thanked each other and wished good luck. We really hoped to meet each other again soon.

A Few Updates on My Blog ^.^

Hello there! Today I want to share about the updates I made on my blog. It includes a poll on "What is Your Favorite Color?" and a couple of widgets. The first widget is on my left sidebar. It shows a little cute kitten meow-ing. Isn't it cute? I personally think that the kitten is adorable, fluffy, cuddly and tiny! Sadly it's just a digital widget. I would love to have a kitten someday. Maybe soon!

My second widget is a wolf named Wags. He's a newcomer in my blog. Come scroll down and give him a little pat on the head. Maybe you can try moving your cursor around, he will be glad to chase that arrow! After running around, why don't you press on the moon and hear him howl? AOUUUUUUUUUU!

The third widget is a little bird on my right sidebar. She's the oldest virtual pet on the blog. The little banner under her feet will share a quote to you. Just wait and it will flip over to finish the quote. A bit of self esteem boost wouldn't hurt right?

The last update I made was on my favicon! What is a favicon? It's that little square image on top, left of the url box. When you visit my blog, you can see that my favicon is a little red rose that I absolutely love.

What do you think about the updates on my blog? Do you like it? If you don't, that's okay. I'd love to hear feedbacks from you to improve my blog! *\(~_~)/*

Piano Juggler ( ◔ิω◔ิ)

One time, I was watching a YouTube video compilation on "Awesome People" when I saw this jaw-dropping video of a man playing his keyboard by juggling 5 plastic balls on it. Can you imagine how mind-blowing that is? As he juggles, the plastic balls will hit a key on the keyboard and the faster he gets, the faster the song will be. If you don't believe me, watch him play with your own eyes!

The Piano Juggler:

Thank You!
